Fitter - Fabrications & Welder

Fitter - Fabrications

Behind every structure, machine, and piece of industrial equipment stands the skilled hands of a trained fitter and fabricator. At VTC, we are empowering tribal youth from rural Gujarat with the technical expertise to become competent, confident, and employment-ready fabrication professionals — building futures as strong as the structures they will one day assemble.

About The Course

The Fitter — Fabrication course equips students with the fundamental and advanced skills required to work in India's ever-expanding manufacturing, construction, and engineering industries. Trainees learn to read and interpret technical drawings, mark, cut, shape, and assemble metal components, use hand and power tools with precision and safety, and fit fabricated structures to the exact tolerances demanded by industry standards. Every skill taught in our workshop is directly aligned with what employers need on the factory floor — no gaps, no guesswork.

Hands-On Training That Mirrors The Real World

At VTC, classroom learning and practical application go hand in hand. Our students train on industry-grade equipment and tools under the guidance of experienced instructors, replicating the real conditions of a fabrication workshop. This immersive, practical approach ensures that by the time a student completes their course, they are not simply familiar with the work — they are fully capable of performing it independently and professionally from their very first day on the job.

Building More Than Metal — Building A Life

For a young person from a tribal community, a career in fabrication means access to stable employment, a consistent income, and a skill that industries will always need. With guaranteed employment assistance upon graduation, our Fitter — Fabrication students go on to secure meaningful careers across manufacturing plants, construction firms, and engineering workshops — becoming the skilled backbone of India's industrial growth, and the proud providers their families always hoped they could be.

Welding

Every bridge, building, pipeline, and piece of heavy machinery that stands strong does so because of the precise, skilled hands of a trained welder. At VTC, we are forging a new generation of tribal youth from rural Gujarat into certified, industry-ready welding professionals — joining together not just metal, but ambition and opportunity into careers built to last.

About The Courses

1. Manual Metal Arc Welding / Shielded Metal Arc Welding (MMA/SMAW)

This course trains students in one of the most widely used and universally recognised welding processes in the industry. Trainees learn to interpret Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), prepare and set up for welding operations, select the correct consumables and raw materials, and perform welds that meet the required safety and quality standards. Students are also trained to assess weld quality through careful visual inspection — ensuring every joint they produce is structurally sound, precise, and professionally finished.

2. MIG / MAG / Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)

Taking welding expertise a step further, this course prepares students in manual semi-automatic MIG and MAG welding techniques. Trainees develop the ability to weld a range of materials including carbon steel, aluminium, and stainless steel across various positions and joints — including corner, butt, fillet, and tee joints. Students learn to set up equipment correctly, follow WPS guidelines with accuracy, and perform welds that meet the demanding standards of modern fabrication and manufacturing environments.

A Craft Perfected Through Practice

At VTC, welding is not just taught — it is practised, refined, and mastered. Our students spend extensive hours in hands-on workshop sessions under the guidance of experienced instructors, working with professional-grade equipment that mirrors exactly what they will encounter in the industry. Safety, precision, and consistency are drilled into every session — because in welding, there is no room for error, and our graduates know that better than anyone.

Sparking A Future Worth Building

For a young person from a tribal community, a career in welding means access to one of the most in-demand and well-compensated skilled trades across construction, manufacturing, shipbuilding, and infrastructure development in India and beyond. With guaranteed employment assistance upon completion, our welding graduates go on to ignite lasting careers — and in doing so, light up the futures of the families who believed in them.
